Hi, I’m Dustin.

As an only child growing up in rural Vermont I spent a lot of time playing in my own imagination. It was a rare day that I was not in costume, playing some character and losing myself in fantastical worlds made up of cardboard boxes, wooden swords, or the trees in our backyard.

To this day curiosity, joy in play, and childlike wonder at the magic and beauty of the world are the cornerstones of my creativity and artistry, and the things that I hope to keep alive in myself and others through this work.

I truly believe that theatre is vital to our humanity, and I feel it’s both a great privilege and responsibility to help tell stories that reflect, unpack, and illuminate what it means to be human!

Briefly Breathless By Jeremy Ohringer

Inspired by the experience of those who swim in Lake Michigan year-round, Briefly Breathless is an experimental dance theater piece staged in and around a giant sheet of plastic. Through rigorous movement experiments and an ensemble dance vocabulary, Briefly Breathless examines the culture of cold plunges and asks us to embrace discomfort, to face our fears and to search for our inner resilience.

Briefly Breathless is the first collaboration of Wondrous Strange, a group of performing artists embracing experimental performance as a means of investigating the intangible qualities that keep us coming back to theatre and dance. Together, we question how we might use our bodies, space and our relationship to the audience to develop unique, wondrous and invigorating performances.

Inanimate by Nick Robideau

“Critic’s Pick! A sly and very likable comedy. A normcore comic variation on ‘Romeo and Juliet’ which insists we regard its central relationship as worthy of high flights of poetic fancy.”

New York Times

Nick Robideau walks a beautiful line between humor and depth in the best (and only!) objectum-sexual romance of the year. Inanimate takes us through surprisingly familiar lanes of teenage crushes and confused longings, all while unfolding the universal tale of embracing one’s true desires. Erica’s world, that breathes life into the inanimate, promises an experience that’s as charming as it is enlightening.
